Original Composer: Konami Kukeiha Club
The month AFTER DOD’s Konami Month(which was chock full of Castlevania tunes), I decided I’d go ahead and make an arrangement of the entire CV2 soundtrack because it’s one of my favorites, and I thought it would be funny. Over a late-night game of Scrabble, Chadseiterand I talked about collaborating on the arrangement. Then I mentioned that I’d love to have a live cello on there, and he got ahold of his friend Victor to play the parts. This was the result.
tech stuff: The guitars are the AX10G again, but this time I ran it through an old Peavey Backstage practice amp. I’m at least nine kinds of happy with the tones. If only I’d mixed them better… The cello parts are all live, and all I can say about them is that Victor is an amazing player, and did an excellent job, especially on the parts that he and Chad had to re-arrange on the spot because I’m inexperienced and wrote a few impossible bits. Also the final section of this arrangement… Yum. For more tech info, you’d have to ask Chad, since he did all the hard work arranging and recording the orchestral sections. I just played guitar and arranged the rock bits, then did a mediocre job of mixing it all down because Chad had work obligations and couldn’t do the mixdown before DOD’s deadline.
